Many of their clients are going through the transition to multi-generational housing – providing room for elder parents, or adult children with their own families. Debb and Bernie also have the personal experience of multi-generational housing with Debb’s parents, so they know the challenges and extreme peace of mind and satisfaction that can bring to a family. Debb comes from a background of communications and marketing – she is a former radio personality and newsperson with local Portland, OR radio stations. Her passion for real estate started with her regular live broadcasts from the annual Street of Dreams, and her talent and expertise in creating warm, soulful environments at home. Bernie is a lawyer with a background in high-tech and start-ups. His passion for real estate started when he became an investor/developer many years ago in Clark County. ABOUT CLARK COUNTY
Clark County, WA, located in the Southwestern tip of the state, is noted for the natural surroundings of the Pacific Northwest. With the mighty Columbia River to the south, the picturesque Lewis River on its north border, and the rushing Washougal River to the east, it’s easy to see why outdoor recreation is a big priority for the nearly half million residents who call this home. The area is also surrounded by the majestic wonders of the Cascade Mountains and the Columbia River Gorge, which offer sweeping vistas of the area and unlimited opportunities for outdoor experiences. As part of the Portland – Vancouver metropolitan area, Clark County also has access to a dynamic city lifestyle where you can find shopping, restaurants, theater, and the arts. The vibe around here is pretty relaxed. Jeans and boots, or shorts and sandals in the summer, are perfectly acceptable in many public spots in Clark County. | Our family was asked to move from Kansas City to the Portland area for a job in the tech industry. As the parents of a four year old, we began looking for family friendly areas around the city which lead us straight to Camas, Washington. The charming videos of downtown Camas and Lacamas Lake that we found online had one thing in common, Debb Janes. Her sincere love for the area coupled with her professionalism helped us feel very comfortable with the decision to narrow our home search down to only one town, Camas. We worked with Debb and her husband, Bernie, to find a home that met every need on our list. Debb and Bernie exercised a great amount of patience with us as we navigated the waters of a cross country move. Our family would not have wanted to make this journey with anyone other than Debb and Bernie. Then when we found the right house and got our offer accepted they really blew our mind. They got the paperwork done and the deal only survived because of their diligence.
