Get to Know Dean Decent

My goal, as your Real Estate Professional, is to discover your thoughts and desires before purchasing your home -  and distill the information that will provide the best Real Estate scenario for you.   In our initial meeting, I will ask you all manner of questions not only about the type or style of home you want, but also what activities you like to do, the things that a 'home' means to you as well as many other questions so that I can get to know you and 'what makes you tick'.

If you are a buyer, as your Real Estate Professional, we will meet for an hour or so, then I can prepare a small tour of homes that fit into your choice outcome, and we can go see them.  Your reactions to these properties further help me to understand what you need and want.  This time also gives us a chance to interact, and see if we have 'chemistry' and are a good match to work together.

If you are a seller, I can show you the tools I use prepare your home for sale, the advertising methods I use to get folks to come to see your property, and I will go over various strategies that you can decide on which ones you would like to use.  Every Real Estate Professional has different ways in which they market property, and depending on what outcome you seek, you have choices with this aspect.

In general, my aim as a Real Estate professional is to use all of my experiences as a homeowner, a landlord, a designer, a community member and most of all my many unique Real Estate transactions in order to help you achive a great outcome when buying or selling your very valuable asset:  your home.

I work with a business partner, Judy Oroshnik, who has been a Real Estate Professional for over 25 years.  Judy has a background in the legal field and has a very comprehensive knowledge of the myriad of legal documents and processes involved in the sale or purchase of property.  When working with us, you get two people who are looking out for you, and you get double the efforts in your transaction.  For more information about us and our company, please visit our website:  DistinctivePropertiesLA.com

I work as part of a team, and my partner is Judy Oroshnik.  Together we share a love of design: interior design, landscape design and furniture/product design.  We bring our knowledge and love of design to the table and provide you with information that will help you understand a properties' assets and liabilities.  We truly enjoy helping sellers refine the design aspects of their home in order to generate more interest and garner multiple offers.  We love working with buyers and helping them visualize a home's potential by pointing out strong design aspects of a property - and weak design aspects as well.  In either case, a property can be changed dramatically sometimes with very easy and inexpensive 'tweaks'.

Judy understands the escrow process in a very deep way.  Many people forget how important it is for their agent to know this.  Getting a property into escrow is only the beginning... agents must keep the escrow going.  Often, one of the principles in an escrow will focus on some obscure issue - as a way of channeling their anxiety of this immense purchase.  This focus, and anxiety, can risk the entire escrow process and possiblly make one party cancel.  Judy knows how to manage the escrow process in a way that reduces these dramatic episodes, and keeps the escrow running smoothly from start to finish.
