|To the clients of Don Forrester, When my husband I were looking for a home with Don, we thought this would be no problem. Well, we had some unusual situation through-out our 10 month hunt for a home in Walnut Creek. Our first situation was a family home that was already in probate and sold. So Don called and found a way we had a chance to buy it. Don went above and beyond to try to make this work out for us. He went and sat in on some Probate hearings to see if he could find away to buy this family home. This went on for a couple of months. He was available when we need to go to court dates. When we needed financial help with trying to buy this home, Don gave us reference to help us with this new problem. He helped my husband tremendously with this situation. He was always positive and upbeat. He worked long and hard to no avail. We did not get that home. Our next situation was with a homeowner that had a squatter in one of the rooms in the house. Never had he had this situation, nor the homeowner for that matter. We made an offer and away we went. Well, Don once again researched it all and was very helpful in helping us in this new drama. As the process of the eviction went on and on, Don was always available to our questions and concerns with this squatter situation. As that went on my husband was still looking at listings that came on market. We would make bids and people were over bidding the home by several tens of thousands of dollars. My husband can be a little difficult to deal with. He likes to make offers that he thinks the house is worth. Not at a price that would get us the house. Don again would dig deep for patience with my husband. There was a home I wanted very badly, Don very calmly tried to explain that we had to go as high on the offer as we could, even if it was out of his comfort zone. Once again trying to explain to my husband what a good offer would be for us to have a shot as this home. We were out bid on all of them. So we still had our contract with Squatter house as we now fondly call it. The eviction kept getting postponed and my nerves were fried. My husband was ready to walk away from this house. I called Don with my concern with husband walking away. I was upset and just was frustrated. Then we had problem with under writers wanting all kinds of information that was over the top for my husband. So I called Don and he helped me with what the under writers wanted and I took care of it and on we went. A few days before closing on this house we go for walk through. The owner did not remove all of the things in contract and left a lot of garbage. The house was a fixer upper, so we expected a little mess. But once again my husband was ready to back out. Don jumped on phone hired someone to dispose of garbage and clean the house as best they could. 2 days later all cleaned up. Don is a take charge kind of guy. This was really the other realtors mess to deal with. So Don worked it out and my husband was happy once again. We finally closed on this house yesterday. Don is a gentleman among gentlemen. I feel like Don and his wife are family now. He knows more about me and my husband then our family. I can't say enough kind words for Don and his associates. It took a village and Don had someone for every situation we had. Thanks again for all your hard work. I will miss talking to you. Wilma and Frank|
|Let me tell you about Don. I have known Don for many years, starting from when we worked together for several years. I always liked and rusted him then, so when it came time to sell the family home, of course I went to Don. Not just a good choice, but a great choice. Don is very hands on, from showing up on day 1 with all od his “go to” people ( thank you Debbie Forrester, John Marzo, Zac Keas, Juan and Norma Ramos, Tony Gonzales and Leading Edge) at which time we put together a game plan. Don went shopping with me for plants, blinds, and flooring. Debbie put up the blinds and ran the open houses and Don, among the many things he did, helped put in the plants. He even got up on the roof to blow off the pine needled! We sold the house to a very nice young couple. Then it was time to find a house for me to buy.
