Get to Know Mitch Carpenter
Mitch Carpenter has joined forces with his son, David Carpenter, to form Team Carpenter, a mortgage loan officer team working from New American Funding in Portland, OR. Mitch got into real estate after serving in the Marine Corps. He enjoyed the industry and had the opportunity to work as a realtor and then as an employee for First American Title before discovering his love of mortgage lending. He first joined forces with Interwest Bank, but has since worked with a number of companies - from family owned groups to large banks. His two sons, David and John, grew up around the many industry professionals Mitch has become close friends with over the years. This long-term exposure to the real estate industry and to the joy that Mitch took from helping families realize their dreams of home ownership inspired David to work in the mortgage industry.
When David started in the mortgage industry, he began working with his father as an assistant. However, the real estate industry was in a state of flux and the company Mitch and David worked with could not weather the economic recession. Despite this setback, Mitch and David remained in the mortgage lending world. David gained his license and subsequently worked for American Equity for a short time while Mitch worked for Wells Fargo. David made the switch to Wells Fargo and then moved, with his father, to what is now Caliber Home Loans. By this point, David had discovered the same joy that his father found in the industry. Team Carpenter recently gained the opportunity to open a new office in Clackamas, OR with New American Funding. While new offices are under construction, the team is temporarily located in Lake Oswego.
Mitch and David are passionate about the mortgage lending industry. Not only has working in this industry allowed them to connect with the community on a very personal level, it allows them to help people get the right loan for their needs. One of the main things Team Carpenter focuses on is educating clients so that they understand and feel confident about their loan and they feel empowered because of their contact with Mitch and David. Additionally, clients can connect with Team Carpenter over any device and in the way which makes them most comfortable. The team works hard to stay in touch with customers 24/7. If a client wakes up in the middle of the night with a question about their loan, they can contact Mitch or David and learn the information they need to know right away.
Buying a home is one of the largest investments most people will ever make. In fact, it's a bucket list item for many, many Americans. Mitch and David work hard every day to help their clients fulfill their American Dream of home ownership, and to cross off that bucket list item. There is nothing more rewarding to Team Carpenter than seeing a client light up with joy when they discover that they are able to buy the house of their dreams.
