| My husband and I recently purchased a home with the help and guidance of our AmeriFirst Mortgage Adviser, Rhett Laufenburger, and his wonderful assistant, Sophia Miller. This journey was not easy, but we learned so much in the process. From the very beginning, Rhett gave us some very sound advice that helped us in achieving our goal of buying our dream home. I recently told Rhett that he is my personal "Dave Ramsey". A light bulb went off the day that Rhett explained that if we worked on paying our credit card debt down, we wouldn't need as high of a down payment. We took his advice to heart and started paying everything off. If was a hard pill to swallow at first, seeing how much debt we had accrued, and how much we had to payoff, but the joy of seeing zero balances again was truly liberating! We are also no longer carrying credit cards with us to avoid future temptation. Once we had the majority of everything paid off, we were able to proceed with buying our house. Rhett and Sophia held our hand throughout the process, and made it clear that they had our best interest at heart. They too wanted to see our dream come true, and we're happy to report that it did!
