Green Architect Jeremy Bonin AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, is the Principal Partner and Lead Architect at Bonin Architects & Associates and author of the timber frame design book, TIMBER FRAMES: Designing Your Custom Home, which is being heralded as an invaluable tool for anyone building a timber frame or post and beam.

A member of the AIA, Jeremy is also an NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) Certified Architect; licensed in NH, RI, MA, NY, CT, VT, PA and ME. Jeremy received his Bachelor of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeremy's professional experience includes four years at Rhode Island's largest architectural firm, working on projects such as the RI State Police and Forensic Crime Lab headquarters, Shaw's Supermarkets, The Westin Hotel, and LaSalle Academy.

Jeremy is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).  LEED is the U.S. Green Building Council's national standard for development of high performance sustainable buildings. Jeremy has a focus on energy efficient homes and sustainable design, with a special interest in timber framing and energy efficiency as it relates to green living and sustainable design, energy efficient home plans, renewable energy sources, and environmentally sound material selections such as SIPs (structural insulated panels), make him a valuable resource for homeowners looking to build an energy efficient home.

As one of three winners of the Timber Framer's Guild's Silver Park Design Competition, Jeremy's design for a timber frame shelter is the feature of a week-long timber frame workshop which will bring timber framers from all over the United States and Canada together, giving participants an excellent opportunity for honing their skills in compound joinery.  The shelter will reside in the Silver Park, a 14 ½ acre park under construction located on an old mill site along the Clark Fork River in Missoula, Montana.

Bonin Architects was recently named to the elite Architectural Guild at the Mount Washington Resort Development, Bretton Woods, NH.  Permits are in place for 199 custom energy efficient homes in the 85-acre Dartmouth Brook development, the first phase of the development.

Jeremy gives lectures and seminars throughout the country to homeowners as well as the timber framing industry on timber frame design, typology, and sustainable architecture.  He is currently working on his second book which focuses on green building and sustainable building practices.
