Certifications

Bob Evridge was born in the North and grew up in several parts of the country including Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, and West Virginia. When he realized the shortcomings of the location of his birth and childhood he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he has lived happily for the last 38 years. Having received his “Yankee Pardon” and completed other requirements he can now lay claim to being a true Southerner and Knoxvillian.

Bob enjoyed a successful award wining career as an educator in the Knox County School system where he served as a teacher, coach, administrator, and technology specialist. His work with the Global Schoolhouse Project, Appalachian Rural Systemic Initiative, National Science Foundation, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Saturday Academy of Computers & Mathematics, Vanderbilt University’s Virtual School, Tennessee Association for Children With Learning Disabilities, and adjunct instructor for University of Tennessee Community Programs, Pellissippi State Technical Community College and Tusculum College have provided opportunities for him to develop a broad perspective on the world in general, and Knoxville in particular.

Bob, along with his wife of 30 years, lives in a typical neighborhood, along with their two children and their dog Max. He has been an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Knox Housing Partnership, Children’s Hospital, PTA and classroom activities, and the Dogwood Arts Festival. He is currently on the Board for AYSO soccer and maintains Region 279′s website.

Bob has always had an interest in real estate. Following his educational career the opportunity to work as the Vintage Homes Program Director for Knox Heritage gave him the chance to learn more about the homes of yesteryear. With the expertise developed there he can rightfully claim to be a “Vintage Homes Specialist.” His experiences there became the step which moved him to become a professional real estate agent.

“I like being a real estate agent because I get to tour some of the most interesting homes in Knoxville, get to meet new and interesting people, get the opportunity to overcome challenges that are different for each client, and finally the best thing of all, I get to help people accomplish their dreams.”
