Get to Know Barbara Le Pine

"A house needs to be seen to be sold" is my working motto.

Pricing a home correctly will attract buyers to a home, first and foremost. Aggressive advertising, community involvement, word of mouth, updated information in MLS, great photos, internet exposure, catered broker open houses are methods I use to make sure that agents and buyers are aware of all of my listings. Active Rain is a great tool I use to get the word out.

Much of my business comes from referrals outside of Lincoln County, so I know I must be doing something right!

"My passion is in the details of the real estate transaction. "

I strive to return all phone calls and paperwork in a timely manner. I attend all closings with my clients and do not rest until all keys are delivered and clients are satisfied with their new home.

 My community affiliations:

Ambassador for the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.

Vibraphonist of the Lincoln Pops Big Band, an 18 piece orchestra that plays jazz music.

Percussionist for the pit orchestra on many Broadway shows that are produced at the Newport Performing Arts Center

Barbara Le Pine is a member of Samaritan House, a nationally recognized award winning organization in Newport who helps homeless familes in need of assistance and housing.

In 2010, Barbara hosted a 17 year old AFS exchange student, Silvano, who is currently studying architecture in college in Austria.

"My husband and I are writing this letter to let you know that, if you should choose Barbara Le Pine as your agent, you will have chosen the most delightful, resourceful real estate partner you could. Drew and I should know; we worked with Barbara for about two years looking for our Oregon Coast property. And we weren't easy clients. We had a specific budget, we live 3000 miles away, and we wanted to be able to have some rental income. What's more, we insisted that we be able to see the ocean, either as the property existed or with a reasonably priced addition.. And a lot of looking had to be done online as we were only in the area about once a year. I spoke to a lot of real estate brokers before we met Barbara and, while they were pleasant people, nothing ever "clicked" with them and we got nowhere in our search. But two years ago we were having lunch in a local restaurant and started talking to the owner about our property search. He recommended Barbara highly so we stopped in at the office. How lucky for us that we had lunch in that particular place that day. Because we were off on an adventure with Barbara! House hunting is hard work, especially when you're trying to do it from across a continent, but Barbara's enthusiasm and energy never waned. She was always up for seeing another property and was meticulous in providing us with the information we needed to make decisions. She was also very good about showing us houses that were at different points of our price range so we could compare and contrast the value we would be getting. The beach cottages we finally bought in Newport were entirely Barbara's idea. She suggested we look at them, and, although they would not ordinarily have met our parameters, we went because we knew Barbara understood what we wanted. Although we looked at a few other houses on that trip, I think Drew and I knew, as soon as we walked into the cottages, that these were our new Oregon Coast homes. What a great feeling that is! We had to do some ironing out of the details before the deal was closed, but Barbara was there for us at every step. She is very knowledgeable, but also ready to do the extra research and legwork to make sure that her clients are well represented. Our only regret about buying our beach cottages is that we won't have the pleasure of talking to Barbara about house hunting for a while! However, we count her as a friend we can visit when we are able to be in the area. Good luck with your sale or purchase. Drew and Paula"
