Jennifer Horton-Chrisman

Jennifer Moved to Malibu with her now-partner mother, father, and sister in the Spring of 1978.  After graduating from Webster Elementary School, Malibu Junior High, and Santa Monica High School, Jennifer received her BA in economics from UCLA, spending a semester in England during those years and traveling to Russia while the iron curtain was still in place. 

Throughout her college years, Jennifer lived in Malibu, Santa Monica, Westwood, West LA, Calabasas, and Woodland Hills.  Before joining her mother in real estate, Jennifer worked as a property manager for a company in Marina del Rey and then as a trouble-shooter for Brentwood Homes, a Brentwood based construction company.

Barbara Horton

Barbara started a 17-year career in New York with TIAA-CREF, a non-profit organization serving the pension needs of teachers in higher education.  During her tenure at this multi-billion dollar company, she became the youngest woman ever appointed an officer of the company.

Barbara's many years at this service-oriented company taught her that serving others could be tremendously rewarding.  Years later when Barbara began a second career in real estate, she brought with her the need to serve that had been instilled in her during her tenure at TIAA-CREF - and later as a full-time mother.  Her degree in economics from Hunter College and her energy and years of experience complete the picture of an all-around realtor.

The Horton-Chrisman Team  

Jennifer and Barbara have now been working as a team since 2000, earning top honors.  In both 2004 and 2005, Barbara and Jennifer were been members of their firm's International President's Elite - the top 3% of the firm's agents nationally and in 2006 reached the top 2% of all agents nationally.  Working as partners has been a highly effective way for the team to conduct business.  With two agents who are highly trained and experienced, there is always someone available to handle anything that comes up - last minute showings, offers or counter offers or a bump in an escrow.  

Jennifer and Barbara also have a deep love, knowledge and understanding of Malibu and its surrounding communities.  They also have a love for what they do - something they like to think rubs off on clients and associates.  And when it comes to getting what you want, Jennifer and Barbara are not satisfied until you have it.
