Aging In Place & Universal Design

 Roses go with summer, and so does yellow. 

 Spots in our throat are usually not considered to be anything desirable; however, spots here are what makes this flower so interesting and appealing.  It's all a matter of what is customary or expected. 

  We pause to reflect, remember, and thank those who have served for us. 

  These cheerful flowers - with bright colors that are reminiscent of the sun - are popular summer attractions. 

 Many full moons are remarkable. All are nice in their own way. This is an outstanding moon!  

Today is "Armed Forces Day." Thank you to all who served in any branch of our military to protect us here and abroad. The same for the military families - past and present - that have shared their family members with the country. 

 This intensely and totally orange flower (geiger) is found in South Florida and few other places. 

 This "rosey" bird (roseate spoonbill) carries its own spoon with it wherever it goes for a unique look among the bird population. 

May is a special month because of all the opportunities we have to honor, remember, and give thanks for the services of those we look to help us in times of emergency - nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, and of course our military.  

 These flowers have so much character. They appear to be afire and flickering like a flame. Do we appear to be on fire when people look at or engage us?
