Found an interesting little story today on WRAL.com about a dinner cruise boat that ended up on a neighbor's dock.  The article doesn't quite give as much detail as the video, so check out the video to see more about it and see just how precariously perched this huge boat is!

Spam.  From a canned meat to unwanted emails.  Either way, it's not a positive image for me. And we get it all the time.  I know you do, if you have an email address. But this is something I've never seen.  Uusually there is the urgent plea for money to help them to put all their money in my bank...

Mona Gersky makes a great short post about basically being responsible!  Just doing the little things makes it easy to do the bigger things, and shows that you at least care. And according to the email  today from the Town of Wake Forest: "A CSX Railroad official says the Brick Street, Elm Avenue, and Holding Avenue railroad crossings will likely be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traff...

Most of us have a clothes dryer.  If you do, read this article below from Jay Markanich's blog about your dryer vent run, and how it should be installed.  If it is longer than what is recommended, either in length or in bends (or a combination of both!), then change it so you are safe! In the com...

This is a very important subject, as it may save your life if you make this small change! Steve Stenros blogged about two types of smoke alarms, and which one is no longer recommended after decades of research and statistics. Please read the below, and check to make sure you have the right kind! ...

I subscribe to the APOD, or the Astronomy Pictue of The Day.  If you're a fan of stars and all things astronomy, or just like pretty pictures of amazing things, then I'd recommend you check out that page daily!   A day back, I saw a type of picture I've never seen before.  It's a normal star pict...
