What is the reason they stay in their homes?  I'm watching people here in NY walk away before the sale, before the sheriff and they just go buy a bigger, better home for less, in the other spouses name.  When I ask them why they do it they say " His credit is screwed and its going to take 10years...

Does anyone have any experieice doing shorts with these guys?  My seller has an offer 5k less than full payoff and they actually wants a short sale package and the seller has already filed bankruptcy.  This is nonesense collect all the financial info for what.
