Yes, I know it looks like a forest fire, but actually it is a sunset! Far on the other side of the stand of trees is the Pacific Ocean, thus the kind of amazing sunsets that you just don't get in Connecticut! We do get some great sunsets, but they certainly are not over the water!

Now this is a beautiful bird of paradise - It actually looks like it is about to take flight! I have always been an avid bird watcher, but I have to say I appreciate the type of bird that sits still and lets me take all the photos that I like.
