"An International ActiveRain Blogging Success Story!

Imagine my surprise when I got a call from a blog post I wrote LAST YEAR on a superb public high school here in South Charlotte: Providence High School. The caller was a lovely lady from Canada, whose husband had been offered a transfer within his company its Charlotte branch. This was on March 28, and just 7 weeks later, we CLOSED on their brand new home in Weddington Meadows!

My buyer client told me that her family's first criteria was finding a great high school for their high-achieving daughter. From doing their research, and reading my blog, they wanted to focus on the Providence High School zone or the Ardrey Kell High School zone. They were driving to Charlotte to check out the area and to see if our city would be a good fit for their family.

I met them at their hotel, and immediately drove them to Providence and Ardrey Kell High Schools, so they could get a feel for the schools while they were in session. They were able to talk to administrators, guidance counselors, and a few teachers. Next, we started looking at homes - this was the challenging and fun part! They would only consider new construction (or alternately homes less than 5 years old) within these school districts, and within a price range that was going to be tough to find!

They fell in love with a 3,500 SF home in the new Centex development called Weddington Meadows. With lots of space, beautiful hardwoods, fiber cement exterior, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, this home had everything they wanted. And...because the development only had 3 homes left, Centex had just slashed prices the day we walked in the door!

The entire process, from meeting the clients to closing the transaction took only 7 weeks! They were absolutely wonderful clients!
