My thought is if we're posting evergreen content that is meant to be found for years, it really doesn't matter what time of day or week we post. Plan to write high quality content and get it out there.
If on the other hand the post is "disposable", I wouldn't recommend Saturday night at 9 p.m. Just not many comments come out of that :)

When people are sitting in front of their computer, or surfing their smartphone. Before 8:00AM weekdays. And at 10:00AM weekdays (people are on coffee break). Lunchtime. 2:30PM (afternoon break) weekdays. Then after 6:00PM when everyone is home.

As you don't necessarily expect interaction on market updates I would say early morning or early afternoon especially if there are notifications.

I haven't posted since December but I have used 3am as my scheduled post time when I was "ahead" and "ready" but it probably doesn't really matter as the "Internet" is always "on". Do you find traffic varies when you post? I am still happy whenever a buyer or seller "finds" me.

I don't stress about it - it gets done when it gets done! I think of it more like adding another chapter in the Book of Charlotte Real Estate - in 1, 2, 5 or 10 years, it won't matter what time I posted it!

I've given up on the "science" and relied on my own experience that early mornings Mon-Fri seem to work best between 6am-8AM when folks are pre-work. I also thing between 1pm - 2pm weekdays is great when folks are checking in back from lunch. Liz and Bill Spear make a great point too.

I know some of the social media gurus have the right time of day, the day and the lenght of data to be shared. Market data though is not a huge timely, "Share" this kind post. I usallly wait a week after the first of the month before I run data for the previous month. Sales are somewhat not fully reported. For the past year I've been running "types" of loans to determine where the action is in the lending, funding market. In Sonoma County "wine country", greatest state of California for the month of March we had total sales of 358. Of those closed deal Cash was 34% of the market, conventional financing 56%. The remaining was FHA with 18 closings, 4 private and VA a paltry 2%!

I don't know if there is a best time David Martin BUT I go for consistency. I get my regular market report up every Saturday between 7:30 and 8;30 AM. That way those who count on me always know when it will be posted and how "fresh" it is. My condo & town house report is always posted early Sunday morning.
Anything other than market reports gets posted when ever it pops into my head.

David,

on our blogs I really don't think it matters. But I've been working hard on figuring out when the best time to post to get the best results is on my facebook page and plan to write a post on that on Friday.

I post mine with the scheduler Friends+Me when it is the most active depending on the SM site.

David Martin - Friday 1-3 is the best (as per the research done by Jay McHugh ) and I agree.
Most of the days during lunch hour may be a good idea - though not as much effective as Friday, perhaps.

You can post content basically anytime on your website. What you want to take into account is the schedule of your promotion of that content on your social media properties.
Since you can never catch everyone you want to see your stuff at the same time, the thing we've found that works is that you post about your content 3-4 times throughout the day. For instance, 8AM, 11AM, 3PM and 6PM.
Be sure to write each post differently, so it won't look like spam content that you put no effort into.
Pro Tip: Once you've done this, analyze your results. Check to see which platforms are most active at which post times. This will give you great intel that will allow you to actually post less, and still get great results

I post whenever I can on ActiveRain, if I'm running FB ads, I schedule them to start on a Thursday at 8:00am for four days.

Not sure how much it matters here on AR and often it depends, for me, on when I have time to get it posted. If it's good content people will find it. Website analytics could be helpful.
1,502,998
I think that would depend on your website analytics. What time do most people visit your site? Do they come organically or are they brought in by a search query? If a search brings them in, post whenever as Google will need to index it before people will come to the article. If people come to your site at 6pm regularly by typing in the URL, then I'd post before 6pm.
