Mine are actually up! I just Closed 2, high-end properties this week and both were cash transactions.
There are many people who realize that mortgage money is cheap but, prefer the debt-free lifestyle. There's something to be said for that, I suppose but, I prefer a mortgage and keep my investments growing and my tax deductions!

I can't remember the last time I saw a cash sale. In 20 years in Charlotte, I think I've had two... one for a $30K condo that could not be financed and one for a lot of land of around $125K. Beyond that, nothing. (Well, except maybe for our own purchase of our first home in Charlotte, which we lated financed in any case.)
