I called MA save and had an energy audit.... they replaced every incandescent light with LED's... I had 64 of them in my home.... $775 worth of LED's for FREE....  

we are 50% LED here: 100% Kitchen & Dining Room and partial the rest fo the house. I like the LEDs a lot, just waiting for bulbs to burnout...not going to waste them nor the money that bought them.

That's what I said until one of them blew in 2-3 years. Better mark the day down & count off your 10 to 20 years.

       I just put CFLs and LEDs in a vacant listing.  Those bulbs are expensive!

I like the compact fluorescent bulbs.

I've changed the majortity of ours. Maybe 5 or so left to change, but they are ones that don't get used much.

I did this as well.  I have only a few fixtures that are incandescent simply because they don't make LEDs for them (chandeliers and ceiling fans).

I have not seen (nor did I ever expect to see) an energy bill savings.  What I have seen is a 75% reduction in heat produced by them (60w recessed light incandescents get to 400 degrees while the LEDs top out at 100 degrees).  This has reduced the overall heat produced in my house considerably, which has lead to a reduction in the usage of my AC unit.  That is where my savings have been!

I replace them as needed. The cost savings is not significant enough to throw away good bulbs in my opinion.

I have not. I like my incandescent bulbs.

I hate CFL. They were terrible inventions and a major environmental/health hazard (which most don't even know about). I avoided them like the plague.

I am in a newer home so we are switching incandescents as they burn out and replacing them with LED. We are about 80% complete.

LED bulbs are great. No burnouts yet

We did part of them when we moved into our new house 3 years ago. Now we replace as they go out since it is so costly.

My house is 100% LED. I never really like the CFLs, so the transition was an easy one.

I replaced over 40 bulbs in my home. The savings are very good. You did a very smart thing. Besides, many will not need to be replaced for many years to come.

I am doing this slowly as the older bulbs burn out.

I have all the downstairs change but need to do all the upstairs yet.

I do not really know what lamps are in there since I have so many. When they burn out I replace them with energy efficient.

OH my gosh, I LOVE the LEDs and can't WAIT to get them all changed out! Good to know that you've gotten them all done.

I'm replacing as the crappy Incandescent bulbs burn out and am always surprised and the brighter appearance of my rooms when I add a new LED.

I can't wait to get all of mine replaced so I won't have to drag my ladder out again either!
